"be EAR now" was a sonic scavenger hunt, which took place at the Denver Art Museum on January 26, 2018. I spent many days meandering through the museum, finding my favorite places to listen. I narrowed my findings to five distinct areas, one on each floor of the museum. I designed a prompt packet for each of these areas. Each area coincided with a different basic principle of sound: frequency, timbre, amplitude, reverberation, and soundscape.

Visitors were sent on a scavenger hunt throughout the museum and were invited to fill out the prompts that they found at each station. When they returned to share their prompts with me, I rewarded them with a free book.

Artist Book Mixtape Volume One is an edition of 35 unique books with matching covers and title pages. Each book contains monoprints, screen prints, letterpress prints, drawings, paintings, risograph prints, and intaglio prints that I made from 2010-2017. I cut up two flat file drawers worth of my archives and laid out a series of books with identical dimensions to create unique landscapes with their own senses of rhythm, texture, and ecstatic synchronicity. Every of these books is its own unique ecosystem within the covers.

The tri-fold title pages are identical in all of the books. The content was crowd-sourced and arranged to create a loose narrative.
